I'm very pleased to announce this week's winner....
CONGRATULATIONS
TO
MARIANNE
WHO GUESSED CORRECTLY... WICKER BASKET!!!
Pls look at that round thing in between the woman's head and the wicker basket. It's made out of
fabric scraps (from used old
garments most of the times) and the purpose is to protect the head when women carry stuff on their heads. This is not seen in urban centers but you can still see them in some small villages in the countryside.
NEXT ROUND: Monday, Decembre 3, 2o12
~~ Thanks all who joined the FUN ~~
~~ Have a great rest of the week ~~

ReplyDeleteThat was FUN~!!
I have been wondering about what is happening with Marianne....She has been silent, though I've stopped by her page and informed her that she had been this week's winner.... Does someone know whether there is something going wrong with her?
ReplyDeletesorry Belita, I did not have your email, my Internet died and have been off for 10 days, back up and running this morning, hence me doing my early rounds
DeleteI am thrilled I got it right, I was pretty sure looking at the way she was dressed, one of our native tribes the Ndebeli, also makes those rings which they use when they carry items, on their heads. I have a few of them I bought to use for putting under warm trays and bowls on the dinner table. They work fabulously like that.
Thank you so much for my lovely present, gift , prize, is going to look awesome in the center of my table this weekend.
Hugs you !
