I'm not a fan either. I rather like hazelnuts. Fresh almonds are common in Portugal. In February, sometimes a bit later, almond blossoms bathe the Algarve in an unforgettable and dazzling show.
~smile~ ... there is something rather delightful about fresh almonds. I can almost smell that bucket ... Love the photo ... its so nice being able to see right into the world of friends.
We have almond trees here too Belita and I love their blossoms. In fact we have an Almond Blossom Festival locally held in July. The hidden fruit inside these nuts are full of goodness and wonderful for the human body. I love marzipan too. Belita your photo is fantastic as are your words for this theme.
Yum, almonds in my salads, sprinkled all over. Niiiice. Lovely photo, Belita and great treasure for sure. Danish Marcipan, girls, that one is the best. You make a Tower out of it and bake it for festive occasions.
I've never seen so many at a time... even if I always have some in my cupboards... I eat a handful of them every day for the magnesium! For me they really are a treasure! Thanks for your comment, you were the first on my blogspot blog :) HIDDEN TREASURES
Very good photo, although I am not a fan of almonds. bur fresh almonds are not found here in my part of Switzerland.

ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of almonds...and in particular I like marzipan which is consisting primarily of sugar and almond meal...delicious...
ReplyDeleteEven try fresh pressed almond oil in your salad, its flavor is un-resistable.
ReplyDeleteVery nice post.
Thanks for the visit.
Beautiful Belita and fits so well the theme.
ReplyDeleteI love almonds. Great picture a true treasure.
ReplyDeleteI am also enjoying your music playing in the background.
You have made such a nice home here.
Great shot Belita. I love the feel of the velvety outer casing of them, although I don't actually like eating the nuts themselves.
ReplyDeleteAWWWWWW yes almonds are a treasure , I love them .
ReplyDeleteI have never seen them fresh like that. I do love them and use the ground ones in as much of my baking as I can.
ReplyDeleteYour photo makes me want to get my hands in that bucket and help you do the work.
A very yummy nut...we used to get them at Christmas and crack them open...a real treasure indeed!
