Krakow is a city that dates back about 50,000 years if you include pre-Slavic history. However, the golden age was in the Middle Ages. The time of castles and knights and damsels.
Though I had been in Krakow before, this time the city looked at my eyes more beautiful than ever, despite the weather that went from very warm to very cold, even it snowed on the day I returned back home.
I revisited some interesting places, visited others I had never been before, observed people - something I really like doing - went to traditional markets, had drinks at some of the many cozy pubs in the artsy and trendy Kazimierz (the Jewish distritct), where the young Polish hipsters and Krakowians go and... highlight of the highlights met with a Multiply friend who travelled from Slovakia to join me over there.
We wandered through those streets that flow like paths through the city rather than traditional linear grids. We got into shops, some more appealing to our wallets than others, we explored Kazimiers, one of my favourite districts, we visited the Wawel Castle, etc. In short, we spent a pleasurable time together.
I returned back home with over 900 shots but of course I'll not post them all. Today, enjoy, the first bunch of some of the street scenes that impressed me the most.
Note; Some photos don't show my name stamped, yet I'm their author.
