Thanks, Lynne! The flowery pattern of the smaller heart is a typical Portuguese fabric. In the past, it was used by poor women to make their blouses and dresses. They were normally very colorful and the most common patterns were birds, exotic flowers and fruit. Today, such fabrics called 'chitas' are not easily found unless you vsit AlcobaƧa, a little town where you find a shop that sells a wide range of patterns.
