The ocean of dreams…
The sound of waves crashing
Erodes my stress
Time loses all meaning
Never daring to break
My continuous dream,
Gulls mewing above
Seem to draw out
What might be a crazy silence,
Their ballet embellishing the scenery,
Rhythmic flight, imaginary and real...
Piruets in the sky... surreal choreography...
Hues of blue, mild dancing sunbeams
Steal a kiss on my forehead over a warm caress
On a chilled winter morning,
Enhancing, not by words,
What beauty truly is,
A soft breeze caresses my skin
An indescribable moment...
Peace invades my soul
Making me believe
What seemed impossible yesterday
May be possible today...

ReplyDeleteThank you, Danette!
ReplyDeleteOne can easily get lost in the imagery projected in your words.....This is one of those writes where you truly need someone with a wonderful voice to read to you while your eyes are closed and you can not only SEE what the words say...but go THERE also!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Belita!
Thanks, Linda! We all have moments of inspiration...
DeleteThere is something about the sand, surf and ocean breezes that seem to bring these emotions to the surface.
