On the last day of Sophie's stay in Lisbon, we visited the Flea Market in the middle of which there is the city's oldest covered market that doesn't exist anymore as a market but as a center for different exhibits, workshops and other activities.
After walking up and down the Flea Market area, we spent a few hours going through that web of narrow cobblestone streets in the neighborhood, a true step back in time...
How about joining us?
Thanks for taking us with you on this trip to the markets. I love places like that, so many things to see and photograph!! As always, I love your people-shots!!
ReplyDeleteThank you to let us join you in this gracefully "Sophie-guest-in-Belita-city" tour. It was very nice to virtually be with you :)
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed that trip through the market in Lisbon. Most enjoyable. And I notice you have 14°C at the moments. The right weather to go with it - she says with 30 centimetres of snow and about 1°C outside.
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful day to be out and about! and all the trash and treasure that one can imagine! I love the people watching [and the animals too, lol] some items I may have viewed ~ interesting spot to meet and greet others~
ReplyDeleteI love markets and my what treasures they had there. I would leave there very broke me thinks.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed our few walks in the city, although we both were bit tired at the end of the day; it was memorable indeed.
ReplyDeleteI admire your street candid shots, I need to practice more. :)
Honestly, I do not believe anyone can find a better guide than Belita.
We will do so.
DeleteThanks for taking me around. Enjoyed it very much .
ReplyDeleteYou captured the emotions of people around the market, I think at a certain moment that speaks for their souls.
ReplyDeleteVery much appreciations for hosting my best friend, she told me lots about in Lisbon with you, I sincere hope that you had a great with her as well.
Thanks, Marcel, for your kind words! It was nice to meet Sophie in person and know her on a stage so different from that on here. Who knows sometime in the future I'll have the pleasure of welcoming you in this sunny Lisbon?
