I think I can say there is not a Portuguese kitchen without a copper baking or cooking ware... Sometimes they are small, others big like those you see in the photo.
I don't have a microwave and refuse to. I have just started baking again after many years and am loving it. Made a loaf of bread today and some cakes last week for a friends b/day. Had to buy some bakeware and got the GOOD stuff.
I have done a blog of both because I was/am so delighted at how they turned out. Growing my own veggies too. I won't eat processed food if I can help it.

Copper baking moulds are good either to bake cakes or make jelly puddings...
