Even this dog seemed to be greeting the signs of Spring
Although Spring officially arrives today, on the day before yesterday I went for a long long walk through the woods behind my place and walked endlessly for several hours. I didn't see anyone in such an unfrequented area that I wondered it seemed or not to resent the intrusion of a human being.
Unfortunately, I don't know the name of the purple invasive flowers that you see in the photo above. Invasive or not, they were beautiful in contrast with the surrounding greens and yellows. I stopped for a while, had a short rest on a bench at the picnic area and took a deep breath 'Ahhh, it's Spring!'.

~~ Thanks for stopping by ~~

Your pictures make me homesick for spring in the north. The red bud trees, the explosion of greens and all kinds of scents. That spring is a month or two off for us, but it will come. And I will be there.
ReplyDeleteYour blue flowers may be gill-over- the-ground, or creeping Veronica. I love them. A lawn service stopped by to tell us they could rid our lawn of all the little wild flowers that pop up and I sent them off.
Your photos are so lovely.
Thanks, Benni, for the visit and comment.!
DeleteHi Belita!! It definately looks like Spring is starting to burst forth there!! You have some lovely photos there of the Spring blossom on the trees, the purple ground-cover flowers and the red flowers breaking out. Spring is arriving here a little more slowly....we have daffodils and snowdrops, but still no blossom on the trees yet.
ReplyDeleteI have been suffering this week with a recurrence of the illness I had over Christmas and New Year, so have been stuck indoors. I am improving but not sure if I'll be fit enough yet to go out with my camera this coming weekend. Probably not. By the time I am fit enough again, hopefully Spring will really be in full swing!!
Oh, Mitch, no good news from you... I sincerely hope you get recovered sooner than you expect, to go out with your camera, take awesome shots later and share them with us...
DeleteThanks for the visit.
Beautiful photos...It reminds me of the Spring in Hyde Park during my stay in London...
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for taking me around .
