This week, none of you made me 'go shopping'... there hasn't been a winner. I had expected some player to have said ... RADISH RED!!!
At my eyes, that colour for groom's socks looked funny, somehow, the reason why I took the photo. Perhaps that's fashionable these days, though Viera, from Slovakia, had emphasised that if he were from Bratislava the colour should be black. On the other hand, Amalie, from Norway, stated that if it had been in Norway, his socks would never be black.
I can't thank for the other players but I myself say thank you to Viera and Amalie, for having taught me something I didn't know about one of the customs in their countries.
For your curiosity, in Portugal, grooms normally wear black or grey socks. White coloured socks would be completely out of question.

He certainly is not originally from Bratislava ... official report says that socks should be darker than pants... Thanks for this curiosity :-)

ReplyDeleteI agree with Amalie. Not everyone stays with tradition these days, they prefer to be individual. Perhaps it was so for the groom in this wedding :-))
