Whenever I tell someone I don't like going to a beach, it's always met with a look of horror, like 'how could you?' For something that I could not yet understand not liking beaches is associated with not liking fun. I am flexible enough so as to accept points of view different from mine.
Actually, my feelings about beaches have to do with the fact that I don’t like sand. It’s coarse, it’s rough, it’s irritating, and it gets everywhere. If beaches were devoid of sand, I’d be all about the beach. However, I like watching the motion in the sea waves...
Therefore having been in the south of Portugal never means to me going to a beach but enjoying my stay in my very personal way.
I have never used my camera but my smartphone, instead. Then, pls accept the not ideal quality of the pictures I share on here.
The region is also known for its oranges, carob and figs. I have added a flower that we see all over the Country just to balance with the colour of the oranges.

DeleteI agree with you, Isabel. I don't like going to the beach either. Except for an occasional visit for photography purposes (preferably when there are no people around), I avoid the beach. I can't understand why people want to sit on a beach for hours and hours. To me it is a waste of time I could be using for more interesting things!!! I always love to see your photos, you have such a good eye for showing everyday things in new and interesting ways and are always very colourful !!!
ReplyDeleteHi Mitch! You are always so kind.... I appreciate your words....
