These tiny sweets are made by an Oporto-based confectionery company. They hide a secret: alcohol!!! That's true. They are beautiful vessels for liqueur that's inside a hard sugar coating.
Each one is hand decorated like tiny pieces of art. They have different shapes, ranging from animals and vegetables to baby girls and boys. The entire process of creating these takes aproximately two months.
The so-called Bonjour dragees wonders are very common at Easter time, particularly in the North households. Popular as gifts to friends and also from godparents to godchildren.
