I AM NOT A MYCOLOGIST BUT...

         

This is the perfect time of the year to be out looking for mushrooms and with the recent rain the area has had, I was sure to see loads of them. I was not wrong at all. So, yesterday in the afternoon, I tried to make the most of the sunshine and out I went to the wood area near me, in search of photographing them.

Actually, I saw assorted types of toxic mushrooms as well as others that I presume were edible. 

I don't remember to have ever seen a so big one...

I am not particulary fond of eating mushrooms. However, I really like look at them, their shapes, their colours, their sizes. Furthermore, they always remind me of my childhood, as so many children's books were had illustrations of mushrooms, dwarfs and other fiction characters...

While the mushrooms were giving a touch of colour to the landscape, a cat and a dog were enjoying the sushine that though not warm at all, was making them feel comfortable, somehow!
