TAKEN ON THE FIRST, POSTED ON THE LAST...

On the very last day of this year, I want to share with you some pictures I took during the first weekend of the month that is about to end at my place within few hours...

After golfing at a very beautiful course that looked more beautiful than ever under a cloudless sky, on the following day I revisited Portimao town (Algarve-south of Portugal), a mix of late 19th, early 20th century buildings in the older part of the town, in which I spent most of my time. However, I didn't leave Portimao without wandering down to the waterfront near one of the bridges.

Upon returning back to the hotel, there was still enough day light and I love walking on the sand.

On the following morning, I went for a long walk on the so-called Restinga, a sandy land with a single access, being surrounded by sea and river water. It has a characteristic vegetation and because of its sensitive ecosystem is considered a protected area.
Currently there are good conditions to enjoy a leisure walk in this area in order to admire the landscape, exercising and other activities. I followed this new 'decking style' walkway that goes on for a few miles with tributaries leading down to different remote parts of the beach and marina..

I returned back home in great form...

Hope you enjoy the slideshow...

~~ Have a wonderful New Year's Eve ~~
