Contrarily to last week's total number of winners, this week none of the 'players' dropped the right guess... I admit, it was not an easy round...
Perhaps the explanation will make you smile. You can see this tree at Lisbon Pedagogical Farm. It's not an art installation, even if someone might look at it and think so.
Babies and toddlers are easily addicted to their soothers or whatever you call them. We all have already heard stories about five years olds who still needed a soother at night. The purpose of that tree is to encourage children to kick that bad habit. As they 'dump' their addiction, they feel like big girls/boys contributing to the decoration of the tree. It's a good idea, isn't it?
The Pedagogical Farm is a unique place in the city of Lisbon where everybody (children in particular) can take contact about country and farm reality, learn about nature in an atractive way and be aware of environment issues like nature and animal protection, biological agriculture and recycling.
NEXT ROUND: Exceptionally on October 29, 2012, as I will be travelling outside Portugal in the meantime.

This was wonderful - I had never heard of kids being addicted to pacifiers, so I did some reading and discovered what a problem it is! So thank you once again for insight into human nature. And lovely photos of a great place for children.
