HELLO, SCARECROWS!

Since I read The Wizard of Oz scarecrows have touched me. I never forget that The Scarecrow thought he had no brain but, in fact, he was a highly reflective thinker and given a little time to think he produced amazing solutions to problems. It was amazing to me!!!
Yesterday, the weather was fine and after having had a superb lunch at a good friends', I decided to go driving up to a village where I had heard there would be a display of scarecrows.
I like driving on windy roads across mountains so it didn't matter how twisty the road was until I reached my destination. Here and there, looking at both sides of the road, I saw scarecrows, some more solitary than others, which made me stop now and then to take a photo...

My day in photos....

How she was cycling fast!!!

The newlyweds

We really enjoyed having been viewed by you... Many thanks!

Someone once said  that whenever he saw scarecrows  he always thought  the consequences of our actions are scarecrows for the cowards and beams of light for the wise....

~~ Have a good start of the week ~~

HAPPY APRIL,,,,

Naming April - Aphrodite's Month. April is the fourth month of the year in the Gregorian calendar and its predecessor, the Julian calendar. Its name is derived from the Latin word aperit, which means to open. It is considered that April is the month of the growing season and when trees and flowers begin to “open”.

HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM TEDDY BEAR LAND

No one is too old to love teddy bears.
None of us can imagine childhood without a teddy bear.
With these factors in mind, the first toy I bought for my grand-kid was just a teddy bear. He got it dressed with clothing of his size and the date of birth  embroidered on the paws.

Whenever I happen to see a teddy bear and regardless of the size, I think how nice cuddly toy a teddy bear is...

Last year, I decided to give the lion's share of my teddy bear collection to an orphanage. However, I have kept half a dozen or so just as a memory.
The one you see in the centre is wearing a knitwear that had been worn by my son when he was a small baby. The explorer with a camera and a dog is one of my favourites and so are ...

Lady Bear that I brought from Chicago and the three golf mates.

At this point, I guess, you have already realised how I am fond of teddy bears....
After this introduction - sorry not very short - you can understand why being at the Teddy Bear Land is something very special to me...
