I have the above cast iron Japanese furin wind bell in my home office room. It's a Japanese cultural icon. Its resonant sound has been described as "clear and cool", characteristic of Japanese minimalism concentrating on one single sound rather than a jumble of different sounds. It's the most natural calming sound known to the ear.
